Real Estate Markets and the Role of Institutional Investors”的报告。

The third Hang Lung Real Estate Seminar was hold in the afternoon of Dec.4, 2012. Mr. Daniel Cashdan, Senior Managing Director of HFF Securities talked about the overview of U.S. Real Estate Markets in his elaborate presentation from three aspects of the market size, the capital structure and the key market participants. In his speech, Mr. Cashdan especially explained the role of the "Pension Funds" in U.S. Real Estate Markets, because of his major work. His wit and humor made the atmosphere very warm and he also received many questions from the teacher and students. What's more, Mr. Cashdan interacted with the scene audience both in English and Chinese, which made him more charming.

At the end of the speech, Mr. Cashdan shared his and his friends' work experience in the investment of the international real estate portfolio, gave some advice to the students who will be graduated on the career planning, and also his own thoughts and feelings during his first travel in China.

Mr. Cashdan is a Senior Managing Director and Principal of HFF Securities L.P., the real estate investment banking affiliate of HFF.  Mr. Cashdan is also a leader of HFF’s Equity Placement line of business and is a Co-Head of the Los Angeles office. His responsibilities include business development, managing client relationships and raising equity capital.  In addition, Mr. Cashdan is responsible for development of the firm’s relationships in Asia, identifying capital and investors looking for global diversification.  He has developed and marketed institutional real estate products for over 25 years.

Mr. Cashdan graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Real Estate Finance and received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School.
